Honda City Will Be Made In Argentina
The new factory in Argentina begins to mass produce the sedan Honda City. The information was confirmed by the manufacturer to the Minister of Industry Debora Giorgi.
The Japanese invested US$ 250 million in new production unit. The plant will have capacity to gathering 30,000 units annually, with 60% of this volume will be export-oriented. Thus, the production unit will gathering only the Fit and Civic.
The minister pointed out that since 2003, the automotive sector in Argentina has reached an yearly growth of 28.6% with a gradual increase in installed capacity, reaching record levels of production. “This expansion allows us to think today in a production of around one million vehicles over the coming years,” said Giorgi.
