To give a further appeal to the small Nano, Tata plans to launch a diesel version soon. Known for being the world’s cheapest car, the Indian model has had some problems with fires and low sales, but now the manufacturer is willing to give more impetus to the basket.
The new engine should have just two cylinders, with 600 or 700 cubic inches of displacement, and be capable to have an income up 30% over the same size as a driver today. Moreover, according to Tata, the car will do 40 mpg on the highway.
