Porsche Boxster Has Electric Propulsion

Porsche continues to invest in the business of option cars with electric propulsion. After the 918 RSR, prototype presented at the Detroit Motor Show this year, the mark this time affixed to the Boxster filed only version powered by electricity based on its sporty entry.
According to Porsche, E is the first of three electric prototypes to be reinforced on the base Boxster. The vehicles will be used to test new engines and batteries, which can later be applied in-line models. At the time of the car, two engines produce the equivalent of 240 hp, distributed on entirely four wheels.
The German manufacturer, however, does not disclose specific data on the performance of the Boxster E, but says its performance is comparable to the Boxster S, which goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds and reaches 270 km/h top speed. Have the batteries lithium ion, according to the brand, assures the car a range of 100 km.
