Hyundai is working on perfecting the system for monitoring the tires. Easier to be installed, the device being developed also has the reward of being 10% lighter than those used today for having rubber valves and have smaller batteries. With that, the wheels gain proportion and power consumption drops by around 30%, says the manufacturer.

Despite announcing that it is developing the new system, the Korean brand not say when it will be useable to be installed in their models. Only quotes that, from 2013, entirely models that weigh less than 3.5 tons must be equipped with electronic monitoring of tire pressure.
