Opel Anticipates New Zafira In Concept

The Tourer Concept Opel Zafira, a model that will be unveiled at Geneva in March is a good sample of what GM prepares for the next generation of its minivans. Almost complete, the car gets its final in the second half, replaced the Zafira current in Europe.

The front of the concept has the bold headlights V, Opel’s new esthetic characteristic, and more fluid lines and rounded. The rear also introduces a new optical gathering with flashlights extended to cover the trunk. Overall, the model retains the format “box”, as stipulated by the label of the segment. The seats and dashboard are the “spaceship,” details that are unlikely to be retained in the final model.

Aligned with current trends, Opel also wants to link passengers to the car. In the Zafira Tourer smartphone and tablets may be affiliated and are part of the “landscape” in the cabin. But the panel has a large touch screen in the center, some other item that should be discarded when the car becomes a reality. The Opel Zafira engine family has also been, for the 1.4 turbo block with Start / Stop technology to save fuel.
