Toyota Expected Double Sales By 2015

Akio Toyoda, president of the Toyota Group, said to the Reuters agency some of the plans that the company is preparing for the coming years. As stated by the executive, the company wants to double its revenues and numbers of vehicles produced worldwide by 2015, which still retain world leadership in the segment, eclipsed the Volkswagen, which also aims to reach the top in four years.
According to Toyoda, the Japanese already have the plans drawn. The strategy includes the launch of over 10 cars with hybrid technology and increase investment in emerging countries, whose demand for popular cars and compact is high. In 2010, Toyota, still recovering from the 2008 crisis, manufactured 8.4 million cars and earned 555 billion yen.
