Automakers Send Aid To Japan

The second greatest tragedy experienced by Japan begins to arouse the sympathy of the automakers. Here’s how some companies are mobilizing to help victims of natural disasters in Japan.
BMW : The German company donates € 1 million for organizations Save the Children and the Japanese Red Cross, which will be earmarked for reconstruction and traumatized children. BMW also claims that its employees contribute to such entities.

The Japanese automaker also give up part of the team for assist in the use of equipment. As for employees, Honda directs entirely donations of its subsidiaries for the Red Cross.
Mazda : Mazda help with US$ 375,000 for the Japanese Red Cross, and some other US$ 150,000 from the Mazda Foundation, headquartered in the US. Company employees are also encouraged to contribute.
Mitsubishi : Compatriot of the victims of natural disasters, Mitsubishi offers US$ 375,000 to the affected areas, in any case lending an unspecified number of cars for local authorities.
Nissan : One of the biggest aid comes from Nissan, the US subsidiary of Japanese automaker will donate US$ 1 million to the Red Cross, and half of that value will be in cash. Suzuki : There will be US$ 380,000 to the Red Cross of Japan
Toyota : Toyota will contribute US$ 3.75 million to the Red Cross.
