Hyundai i50 will be manufactured in China

Hyundai Motors is one of South Korea’s largest car manufacturer which will produce Hyundai i50 luxury sedan in China in late 2010. Hyundai i50 that is rival of Toyota Camry and Honda Accord will be launch in market at price 180 thousand Yuan.

Hyundai Motors China said the sedan was produced in cooperation with local companies that will be manufactured in two types. The first type is engine 2000 cc Multi Point Injection (MPI), a powerful 165 PS at 6200 rpm and torque of 202 Newton meters (Nm) at 4600 rpm.

The second type is engines 2400 Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI), a powerful 165 PS at 6300 rpm, and torque of 225 Nm at 4250 rpm.

Both types are equipped with automatic and manual transmission with six levels of acceleration.

In South Korea, Hyundai i50 sedan was introduced to the market in September 2009. Whereas china was introduced in last April 2010, together with the Beijing Auto Show 2010. Nevertheless, there will be little change in either the exterior or interior when Hyundai i50 produced in China later.
