Toyota Motor Corporation Suspend Production In China
Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan said that production at their main factory in China can not produce the maximum capacity and closed for a while. This temporary closure due to strike action from the company’s existing suppliers.
The factory that located in the south of Guangzhou, which supplied half the total products by Toyota in China, a few times ago got shut down because of strike action.
Toyota says that production remains suspended and has not determined the time will be operating again.
Factories began to close the production after demonstrations swept Denso Corp., a supplier of components for Toyota vehicles. Workers are demanding increased wages and refused to work since Monday.
Until now, Denso Company already negotiates with the workers around wages, although Toyota did not explain in detail. Denso factory employs 1,100 people working on the fuel injector for engine.
Before strike action at the Denso Company, last week the plastic components supplier to Toyota in Tianjin hit the strike. The Strike action is followed by other suppliers to Toyota Motor Corporation.
