Mitsubishi Motors New Factory in Thailand

Mitsubishi Motors Corp. will establish a new factory in Thailand, this is the third plant has been reinforced in the country.

The new factory production capacity will reach 50,000 units per year, so total production will reach 400,000 units per year. For this new plant, Mitsubishi Motor Corp. has set up an investment of 463 million U.S. Dollars.

President of Mitsubishi Motors Corp., Osamu Masuko provide testimony that the location of the new plant was still at center of Mitsubishi’s current production. The construction of new factory, expected to take in 3,000 workers.

According to previous news that earlier in the year 2010, Mitsubishi Motors Corp. is preparing a new vehicle. Its size will be smaller than a lot of hatchback type that marketed in Europe. This car will also be designed using a small engine capacity of 1200-1300 cc.

Of the criteria mentioned above, the model is similar to the concept of eco car that expected by the Government of Thailand. Besides Mitsubishi Motors Corp., Nissan have started production of eco car and will be marketed throughout the world began this year.
