Chrysler And Ford Announce Recall
The Chrysler Group and Ford Motor proclaimed new recalls in the site of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Although they were released nearly simultaneously, the two recalls have no connection.
Ford recalls the 33,728 units of the Transit Connect vans, manufactured from December 5, 2008 through May 31, 2010. The problem is a retaining pin located above the B-pillar trim on the two sides of the vehicle. According to Ford, the safety recall will start on the 19th of this month.

But the recall covers Chrysler undetermined number of units of the model Jeep Liberty, Dodge Nitro, Ram 1500 Truck and Jeep Wrangler, reinforced in 2010. The problem lies in possible defects in the brake ducts, which can lead to loss of brake fluid. The recall should start in August, with the replacement of defective parts at dealerships.
