Toyota Motor Build New Plant in Brazil

Toyota Motor on July 16 2010, proclaimed to spend 600 million dollars to establish a new plant in Brazil. Planned construction in the metropolis of Sao Paulo Sorokaba, start in September 2010 and will start production in late 2012.

The new plant purpose to produce small vehicle, new development compact car platform shared with India “Etiosu”. Initially produce 70,000 vehicles a year sold in Brazil and also planning to export.

The new factory covers an area of 370 thousand square meters. The construction site was acquired in July 2008. Because of impact of financial crisis, the plant construction was delayed. Toyota is currently holding two factories in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
