Renault Celebrates Production Of 17 Million Units In Flins
Renault factory in Flins, France, celebrated of 17 million units vehicles manufactured. Founded in 1952, Flins is the oldest factory of the French company. The factory was responsible for the production of symbols of the brand models as 4CV, Renault 4, Renault 16, Renault 5 and the first-generation Twingo.
Currently, 3422 employees work in the Flins factory and produce 730 units per day of the New Clio. From 2012, the plant will be responsible for the production of batteries for electric vehicles to be launched by Renault, as the ZOE ZE Concept.
Thus, the plant will turn strategically more important for the new business focus for Renault, totally focused on electric vehicles. Flins factory be the first to produce lithium-ion batteries in France.
Renault has 38 plants worldwide, 14 of them in France.
