Porsche Plan to Make Porsche Hybrid Version for All Models

Porsche proclaimed this weekend that entirely its models should make a Porsche hybrid version in the near future. The statement was made the head of brand development, Wolfgang Duerheimer, who said the Panamera hybrid will be launched in 2011, with the technology of hybrid Cayenne will be an important step to progress the use of the system in sports cars. The sedan will be capable to run up to 6 km with only populate electric.

In an interview with Automotive News, Duerheimer also stressed the importance of the 918 Spyder electric sports concept that should make a limited series in the next three years. “We want to learn how we can ‘electrify’ entirely our sports in the future with the help of this small series production.”

To Duerheimer, the next to win Porsche Hybrid Version lines are the 911, Boxster and Cayman, although a deadline has not yet been confirmed. The executive noted that the policy will help Porsche meet emissions requirements by the European Union by 2015, but that can only be achieved with investment in other technologies, such as cars lighter and smaller. We will see Porsche Hybrid Version on entirely model in the near future.
