Mercedes-Benz Announces Recall of E-Class SUV Diesel Cars in the USA

The Daimler group said on Friday (5th November 2010) the recall of 2,297 vehicles of the Mercedes-Benz, USA, to change the fuel filters. The call includes diesel versions of the models E-Class sedan and GL-Class SUV, Class M and Class R (2011), manufactured from November 2009 to October 2010.

The failure related to lack of lubrication system fuel filters can cause leaks, the risk of skidding and accidents. The company advises that the owners of vehicles involved in the recall will be notified later this month, and dealers will replace the fuel filters free of charge.
