Kia Introduces the Kia Optima Hybrid

The Koreans automaker KIA do not have a picture of these Kia Optima Hybrid as Toyota , Honda and Nissan , but are learning fast how to transform their usual models in green vehicles. This is the case of the Optima, Kia’s sedan that just won a new generation and months later it appears in the hybrid version.

The Kia Optima uses a compounding of 2.4-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor of 40 hp. The difference is that their batteries using lithium, an element that generates more power and self-direction and is now present in more advanced designs like the Nissan Leaf, Volt and Chevrolet.

Are 206 hp in total, despite the high value, low fuel-consuming. According to automaker of Kia, the Hybrid version of optima can run 15.3 km with one liter of gasoline in the metropolis and 16.9 km on the road. 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid will launch in March in the United States.
