GM Confirms New Generation of Calibra Coupe

Opel will produce the next generation of the Calibra coupe in Europe. The verification was made by the president of GM Europe and Opel responsible for the business, Nick Reilly, speaking to the press. The production of a new Calibra was a source of rumors in the European automotive press. Initial reports said the model would have the shape of a Vectra or an Astra. With the verification of the leader of Opel, there are already sure that the new Calibra is even produced.

Other news around the new Calibra Coupe should stay around the weight reduction and new mechanics, which should include turbo engine, whose consumption will be between 10% and 15% lower in comparing to the Insignia sedan. There is also the possibility to have launched a new version of the Calibra-wheel-drive.
