Mazda Global Target To Sell Two Million Vehicles By 2016
Free from the shackles imposed by society with Ford – who sold most of its shares last month – the Japanese automaker Mazda proclaimed on Monday that aims to reach several emerging markets country.

“The goal is to sell 2 million vehicles worldwide by 2016 and countries like Russia, India and Brazil are key,” said Takashi Yamanouchi, president of the automaker. The three markets and other developing countries should account for 300,000 units of this total.
Rumors indicate that Mazda will establish a factory in Mexico in the coming years with a goal to export around 100,000 cars. The models estimated are Mazda2 and Mazda3 hatch.

After a short period of sales following the opening of imports, Mazda left the nation in early 2000 by imposing the Ford, which wanted to invalidate competition between the models of the two brands, similar to the proposal.
